Fees
Many valuers base their charges on a percentage of the jewellery or other item’s value. Heather McPherson believes that this approach may cause conflict of interest and therefore bases fees for all valuations and reports on professional hourly rates. This means that the cost often works out to be less than people think and means that on initial examination of articles or discussions of your requirements, estimates can be given before the work is undertaken.
